What superstitions have you heard of and which do you personally have?

i :

* Salute magpies (if I see one on it's own, and only if it's not flying, if it's flying it's ok) - 1 for sorrow, 2 for joy, 3 for a girl, 4 for a boy.
* Never ever open an umbrella indoors.
* Never walk under a ladder.

I know other people won't put their shoes on the table because it's bad luck, and my cousin won't let anyone read out her horoscope to her because it's bad luck. And I've heard something about drains and walking over drains but I don't get that.

it's just a new thing with me, i don't know why i started but i'm afraid to stop now.
