Not sure if I got the name right - but he was some sort of magic performer who like Houdini could control his body - and on Derren Brown's show (channel 4 uk) he was mentioned as Derren placed a plastic bag over his head to slow his pulse to very very very slow - which enabled him to walk on broken glass without feeling pain or cutting his feet.

I assume the blood flow wasnt reaching his extremities - anyway he mentioned this man Prestoni (sp ?) who used to be a master of this and I fancied reading up more on this man. Does anyone know his correct name or anything about him? cheers for any help

As much as i love Derren Brown i am starting to loose confidence with him. A lot of the people he has metioned on his show do not seem to have ever existed. I have now serced for at least five of the people he has talked about and there is no evidence for them.

To be honest, I think that so much of Derren's stuff relies on you trusting him, and your suggestibility, that he does invent people, to lend credibility to what he's saying or doing, so you go along with it.

I'm sure he must mention real people sometimes, but it wouldn't surprise me if he'd made this character up. In fact, it would make a lot of sense, given what he does.
