(Purely hypothetical question, meaning that you don't need to tell me how life actually does have meaning already because bleh.)

If life was meaningless, what meaning would you give it? If you were God, and you had created a universe of vibrant life, what would you want it to do?

Improve itself, I guess. By art and music and generosity and fantastic sex and brilliant literature and coexisting with its surroundings and amazing architecture and no chavs.

I would make is a war. A battle of minds and fists and arts and cultures and armies. A sort of historical darwinism where the best inherit the earth.

I do think life is meaningless so I gave it my own meaning: to live. It's fun. (Usually)
