| The New Testament I have a question to pose. The Old Testament (The King James Version of the Jewish Bible) is directly contradicted on a number of points by the New Testament.
The Bible, whether you follow the King James Version or not, is originally dictated by Hashem (G-d). Whereas, the New Testament was written by men. It supposedly explains about Jesus, through the eyes of those who followed him. However, the earliest Gospel written was written 50 years following Jesus' death, and some were written as long as 250 years after Jesus' death.
So, the New Testament would be almost exclusively hearsay about a man who was supposedly Hashem's son. More than that, The Old Testament is contradicted on more than half of it's points by the New Testament and many feel that the New Testament renders the Old Testament void.
If you claim to follow Hashem, then how can you justifiably ignore the Old Testament based on hearsay from humans, which are by definitiion fallible? |
