haha wait isn't the whole point of these 'parades' to try and get some sort of recognised equality? i think pride is still a fair bit off, maybe when hetero's are all chained up in labour camps or something you'll have something to dance around the streets about with feathers and glitter.
maybe there should be a gay modesty movement or something for those who just want to enjoy the same gender and not have it encompass their whole existence. |

| | | To be honest, as far as I can tell the parades are generally in honour of a completely different deadly sin. And it's not avarice.

I've been to the Atlanta gay pride twice and there was, indeed, a parade running down the street. My favorite bar in Atlanta had a float and everything (as did most other bars like the eagle and stuff). There is also some organization called Dykes on Bikes?? Or something? I am not familiar, I just know they start it off.
I, however, have not been to the San Fran gay pride in the 2 years I've lived here and I won't be going any time soon. Gay pride celebrations are great and all - just not my thing. It's basically a bunch of drunk gay people roaming the cities in the midst of various sexual acts. Somehow that seems really unhygienic to me now. |

I was at 'Stonewall 25,' in 1994, the 25th anniversary of the Stonewall riots.

| | | the only good part of a gay pride parade is when the pflag parents march with their kids. it's very moving.
who needs to see some nellie twink in a pair of pink y-fronts dancing to madonna on a float. those types of floats should be fire bombed.
no need for nudity either.
it's pride weekend here, so i'm going to get drunk and lear at men. anyone wanna join me?

| | | I refuse to go to a pride parade.
I don't support them.
I don't like that there are guys, in thongs and leather, throwing condoms.
Fuck that.
