By which I mean, to start claiming to be younger than she is, rather than older.

The "right" age? I'm never gonna lie about it, I don't see the point.

i'd feel a little stupid lying about my age.
when i get old, im going to get a cottage and not surround myself with people wanting to know my age so i won't have to lie outloud.
but 30 is old to me. probs because im so young.

you guys, i was being sarcastic since a huge part of society seems to think 30 is old and everyone is making a fuzz about the big 3-0, or at least that's what tv tells us.

i do not think that 30 is old at all. at least not "your life is over now and you will be old and ugly from now on" old.
of course 30 is old when one is only 18 but not in a bad way

when you hit 50 i think that is old because you are halfway to 100 for fucks sake but under that age as far as im concerned is just middle aged.....? personal opinion

I think you should accept your age, period. It's courageous in a way. Specially if you've had a great life like Cher or Bette Middler or something.

When I finish uni then I could get away with lying about it, but before that, I'll probably end up moaning to whoever I'm talking to about my work, so it wouldn't make sense to tell them I was younger or older than I was. But I might do it just for the hell of it, if I was talking to someone I knew I didn't like or wasn't planning on seeing again. I wouldn't lie to a nice person or a friend; I don't think your age is really anything to be ashamed of.


I'm also an unconvincing liar, if I have a genuine motivation for lying. If it's just lying for the hell of it, fine, but otherwise I'm unbelievably bad.
