Yeah, I kinda thought about it, and my entirely subjective opinion is: chicks still wouldn't put out, even if they were in an environment where it was totally acceptable to do so.

The idea would be that you go to the bar specifically looking for sex, and because everyone else there is doing the same, there's no reason to bother with the whole tedious courtship thing.

But I figure if they were capable, they would've done it by now.

try swinging clubs. you'll probably find lots of like-minded people there to share funny anecdotes etc

Seriously, I don't know where you live, but I'd swear you are describing a very high proportion of "straight" bars. Do you not go to them? Ever? How could you be so naive? I'm not saying they're delicate princesses. I'm saying that they're evil manipulating harpies. (Tongue in cheek, but probably true too.)

I'm aware that most people who go to straight clubs go there because they want something to have sex with. I'm also aware that, despite this, they feel obliged to pretend they're there for some other reason. And I blame chicks.

I was being tongue in cheek in the sense that I don't think all women suck period. Not wanting to have sex with just anyone, wanting some kind of emotional attachment or whatever isn't actually a sign of suckitude per se. But in this context, it's just not really appropriate.

I'm all old and in a relationship now, but this is....not how I remember it. At all.

Maybe it's just Northampton. I really hope it is, and it might explain why this place is full of tossers. Most of the bars here just seem to be bleach blond chicks getting dudes in polo shirts to buy them drinks and then crying outside.

bars are bars, gay or straight...the main goal is either to party with friends, meet people or get a piece of ass.
