I've had it a couple of times, and fortunately I've managed to more or less not date psychonutjobs, so it's been okay, but it's still kind of awkward somehow, like it's impossible to imagine them lying in bed together talking about anything other than the lowpoints of my sexual technique.

i've been kinda seeing the ex of an aquaintance, they recently broke up so this is all hush hush. he's also a former teammate of my ex...who's been trying to get back togther with me.

It's kinda weird, most of the time dudes I know just deal with it, because they see it is kinda inevitable if you're on the scene and dating within a much smaller pool of people than the heteroids. But then every now and then one of them will have this ridiculously over-dramatic spazz about how awful it is that someone had sex with their ex, and it's just really hard to take it seriously.

Actually, thinking about it, it's pretty much just one guy who does that.

I dunno, is it a good thing to deal with stuff like that rather than getting wound up about it, or is it just a sign that we're all dead inside and just playing at dating?

I think it's natural to feel paranoid about them talking about you (the mutual ex), and I guess it's pretty much inevitable that they do, but then again - why should you give a damn what they say about you? You broke up with both of them - good riddance, right? If they're both douchebags, they can make eachother miserable while you get on with your life.

As for hurt feelings and heartache, I guess that's inevitable as well, but you have no choice but to deal with it, unless you have a chance of getting them back or whatever.
