I have just skimmed through a book called Bisexuality and Women by Sue George, and it just really peaked my curiousity about bisexuals!

Even though you'd call yourselves bi, is there a preference or a tendancy towards one gender over the other? Or have you slept with more people of one gender than another despite your preferences? Have you only ever slept with people of one gender, despite calling yourself bi?

These are really kinda nosey questions but I am really curious to know as I did consider myself bi because I am attracted to both sexes but as I have only slept with men and year for men rather than women on a much deeper level, I have kinda reverted back to my heterosexual orientation as I can't justify calling myself bi any more.

In my experience....

Bi guys always end up with guys.
Bi girls always end up with guys.

Guys always win the long run.

Anyway, I've always been gay so I really can't contribute. The only times I've been attracted to women have been through self suggestion and nothing really came out of it.

The few bi guys that i knew ended up in serious relationships with men . i.e. gay. (well apart from one but he just hasnt come out of the closet yet)
And the few bi girls i knew were just doing it to experiment and ended up with guys. i.e. straight.

but like i said..thats just in my experience. I'd never date a bi guy again. Waste of time.

so what you are basically saying is that those men where gay in denial??

Well i think they genuinely believed they were bi to begin with, as with most teens/early 20somethings who are confused about their sexuality. But i guess most of them have a better time being gay so choose that.

Same here Also All the lesbians I know or have known have never ever slept with a man and detest the penis.

I know a few who have been with men, a couple of them have been married and had kids. I also know a gay man who was married for 9 years before he decided he was gay. Meh, you never can tell.

lately i prefer guys. this switches depending on mood and whether i see anyone that sexually interests me. meaning, i want a guy right now but if a woman who i think is sexy walks in here id so want her.

for serious relationships i just look for whoever i want to spend teh most time with, male or female doesnt matter.

i have more experience with guys, but this stems more from being somewhat closeted and afraid to out myself to someone who a)has a big mouth, b)is homophobic to some degree, and c)doesnt feel likewise and would pull away from even just hanging out.
c)is mostly because i tend not to really want to do anything sexual in nature with randoms, only people who i begin to care for.

i'm really actually very BI.

but, there is no way i could handle a relationship with a girl at this stage in my life. it has nothing to do with the PENIS aspect, it's just that i'm pretty fucked up. & to be in situation where, i'd have to deal with another female who may be just as fucked up as me at this point, & continue to be in a relationship with them, would be hell. i have enough girl friends for that you know?

but as far as sexually attracted too, or "would nail"... guys do not outnumber the ladies, & i've been down both roads.

anyone ever feel like they have to fight against the stereotype of bisexuality? i mean that whole thing where its just looked at as some teenage fad, the popular thing to say; or where its you cant makeup your mind and it means youre a whore and shit like that.

i dont think anyones ever looked at me that way, but i just get that feeling whenever i tell anyone. like i have to make sure and explain its the real deal and im not a whore; im almost the exact opposite.

I don't know...I had this at school when I "came out" accidentally thanks to some indiscrete "friends", and I can imagine older people (especially my parents, who I guess have a vested interest in my being heterosexual) judging me this way, but everyone at uni who knows hasn't assumed anything and has been accepting to the point of indifference to it all. I only tell people if they ask anyway.

this is interesting. ive heard a lot about how bisexuals are often stereotyped and discriminated against for being 'gay but in denial' from other gays and thought of as 'going through a phase' by others. and ive heard comments made along the line that they don't really exist, having a cake and eating it etc. etc. and i wonder if thats fair. but from reading comments here, it does seem to fit.

Really? All the ones I know have slept with loads of boys. But then, the ones I hang out with aren't gross wanna-boys.

HAHA, me too. I wouldn't rule out fucking boys again, but at the moment. No.
