| | | Hedwig Thread! We need a Hedwig thread!
Come appreciate
I'm just going to post some quotes now, 'cause let's face it, it's a pretty fucking funny movie.
Hedwig: After my divorce from Luther I scraped by with baby-sitting gigs and odd jobs - mostly the jobs we call blow.
Hedwig: The road is my home, and my home, the road. And when I think of all the people I have come upon in my travels, I cannot help but think of the people who have come upon me. Tommy, can you hear me? From this milkless tit you have sucked the very business we call show!
Hansel: Jesus says the darndest things.
Hedwig: Don't you ever mention that name to me again.
Hansel: But he died for our sins.
Hedwig: So did Hitler http://imdb.com/title/tt0248845/

| | | First time I saw it I wasn't 'sober' and my god the surrealism.
Me & my other half were sat right up by the screen giggling and wondering if it was real or if we were somehow imagining it.
He's such a tragic heroine, there's a stage adaption of it, I saw a poster somewhere. Must be fantastic. I wanna go. |

| | I wish i'd seen it on the stage but the movie is just incredible anyways. I watched it last night for the billionth time and then I saw this thread.
Hedwig reminds me of Rachel griffiths (Brenda from Six Feet Under) a bit too much which is creepy though. |

| | | Obviously ( see avatar) a favorite. " Basically? Why do you feel the need to lie to me?"
I had the Aunt Trudie line as my signature for a while.
Beyond beyong funny and heartbreaking and musically intresting - the film moves me, truly.

| | | Ooooooooh, Hedwig. I bought the DvD at a venture after I read the thread on the "old" KR and fell in love with it.
ella luciana, yes, they covered Angry Inch with Fred Schneider. If you still want the album, I could upload it and post it in the mp3 thread? I agree with boomboxboi, though, I like the originals are way better.

| | | I sooo adore Hedwig! There are so many overrated movies out there, yet Hedwig is wonderful and bursting with talent and barely was a blip on the radar.
Fine with me! We still put it on every now and then. |

Yep, there's the Original Cast Recording of the original stage production and the Original Soundtrack for the movie adaption. The soundtrack is the rockier one. |
