infotainment = quantity over quality

Youtube.com allows any moron to make a movie.

Reality tv cuts costs by not hiring real actors.

Livejournal is now trying to promote itself as a publisher. ha! Someday children will ask what are books.

and myspace is taking over the world. (Last month the guy in Boston with the most 'friends' made the cover of the Boston Phoenix....I mean what kind of 'news' story is that?)

Someone please ship me off to Mongolia where there is no media. Fuck intotainment. It's all such piss poor quality that I can't be bothered with anything dated post 1996, or whenever it is the internet really took off.

I'm not sure if the source of the problem is medias or something else.

Myspace allows to everybody to share who they are with the world.

Same thing with livejournal. It allows to everybody to "share their thoughts with the world"

Youtube... Everyone share their stupid home videos.

It's very "Me, Myself and I"... It's like everyone thinks they are important.

I don't know how to say it... We're kinda "too proud of ourselves"? or it's "extreme individualism"?

Maybe I should shut up I have a myspace account hehe. I'm a conformist.

They all come in handy, in forms of entertainment, communication, if you're bored, whatever.

It's not a bad thing. It's a little crazy how big it's getting, but whatever.
It's pretty absurd though. I do know a girl who died here in Olympia, and her myspace is still running. Someone logs on to add friends, and you can leave her comments, they change her pictures every now and then. It's weird, but I don't see why we need to bitch about how big it's getting.

I'm surprised Tom hasn't made people pay for it yet. He'd be so fucking rich if he did, wouldn't he?

i've always seen myspace and livejournal etc. as an ego thing. People do it for their own ego's in some sense. I know people use them to make friends and to save time telling everyone the same news but it its also a showcase.

They annoy me anyway, constantly linked to them, lots of whiney rubbish too.
