Tell me about your love of the X Files.

I just purchased season 7. And I know that it's a raunchy bad season, but I love the X Files so much I'll even tolerate the bad.

So...
Favorite season?
Favorite episode?
Sculder, yay or nay?
Which one do you want to get busy with (both is a feasible option)?
When SHOULD the show have ended?
And finally, have you ever heard a song called Agent Scully by this shitty punk band from Montreal called Mold?

I would say 4(ish), Jose Chung's From Outer Space, yay, Scully, after they left Vancouver (fuck you David Duchovney) and yes... obviously since I asked.

HOLY SHIT THIS IS MY THREAD.

Favorite season? Toss up between season 4 and 5, they were the best all-around seasons, both with great stand alones and myth-arcs in each one.

Favorite episode? Milagro,(closely runner up by "Never Again") yes its from season 7, but it was the most brilliant ep in season 7. It's the story of my life as far as the character of Philip Padgett (Scully's stalker) goes. The symbolyism was great, with all the the tension and attracting, Scully even got drawn into him because they were both loners, he said "we're alike that way" but of course he had a deep dark underside where he was involved with the ghost he commanded to rip out lovers heart because he was jealous of their love, and i just LOVE the last line in that ep where he dies with his own beating heart in his hand that he tried to present to Scully before the evil ghost took over, "a chance to give what i could not recieve" (love).

Sculder: I am always such a toss up on this, it depends on my mood. I like the pain and love they show with each other but I dont like it CHEESY. and they did wait to long too have a kiss and there were WAY too many implied hints in the last 3 seasons ie "were they sleeping together?" "did they really do it in "all things"? What the hell WAS scully's baby?

Which one to get busy?: haha both, but not at the same time.

When SHOULD the show have ended: well honestly, NEVER, but the writting should have been better, i just kept watching even in the late seasons for the few sparks of brilliance (Scully's riveting performance was what kept that show alive, omg "Trust No 1", dude in that season she compensated because she could just act with an expression on her face in any given scene with the expression she was just MISERABLE much like the character should have been with no mulder) that shined and that maybe hopefully all the myth-arc things would get worked, but alas they just kept adding and adding questions not EXPLAINING, not even in the last ep. they were way better at the myth-arc telling in seasons 4 and 6 IMO. I wish that whole mess would still get sorted out.

I LOVED 4 one my fav non-scully eps. and Jose Chung is probably my 4th fav cause it is so damn brilliant and funny and scary all at the same time.

-Season 6! (though 7 was pretty good too)
-I have so many (DREAMLAND is awesome, 3 of a kind)
-I didn't really want them together, but it was a nice emotional touch.
-I didn't want the show to end, but I guess it had to. can't expect people to do the same thing artistically for over 10 years..

Milagro is a big favourite of mine too. It was the first real big Scully oriented episode I had seen and I just got into it.

Oh! I really liked Bad Blood from season.. 5? Luke Wilson was pretty funny.

mmm Scully. I think she was my first girlcrush heh

I remember watching X-files every Sunday night when I was in Uni. I wasn't a hardcore fan or anything but it was a great excuse for me to put off studying/schoolwork for an hour or so..

It is an excellent show. Sadly, re-runs don't seem to be airing these days.
