When I watched Angelina Jolie in Gia I thought she was really good & was going places. Well, she went places but she is nowhere near good! Gia wasn't that far a stretch for her so I guess that's why she did so well in it. But my goodness, as time went on & she got more roles you can see that this so called "actor" has NO ACTING RANGE whatsoever!!! All she knows how to do is play with her lips; turn her head from left to right, then right to left.

Nothing she does is believable watching her is like watching a bad audition/practice, in fact they should show Angelina’s movies to acting students to show them what not to do. We all know if it weren’t for her looks shed get no roles because she really just can’t act, & even her looks can’t help her at the box office because a lot of her films bomb. She relies heavily on juicy publicity, a great script, director & costar to carry her thru the movie.

I agree she isnt the greatest actress. But how do you explain the brilliance of Lisa in Girl Interrupted??! That Oscar was well deserved, I think it was a fluke, because in her other movies she really is pretty poor. I really want to see Gia though.

gia was good but only because of the story. id rather watch a documentary on her though. much more interesting seeing actual footage.

she is talentless. she is range less. but because shes so "gorgeous" people dont notice she sucks.

now watch the brigade come in and testify that she is amazing, and that her charitable nature is what makes her so. If i had money id help people too, she shouldn't be praised for doing the right thing. we should acknowledge and move the fuck on.

I tihnk to say she's the least talented actress ever is sort of ridiculous. I mean, she's not amazing (except for G,I.) but c'mon. There are worse actresses out there.

I liked her in Gia but she doesn't do too much for me anymore..As xnewtastex said, Gia did have a good story. She made a great soft butch..

Chloe Sevigny should have won for Boys Don't Cry that year. Angelina's performance in Girl,Interrupted was so overrated just because it was such a flashy, interesting character. Angelina just overacted too much to me in so many scenes. And she just seemed to me like she was posing more than actually acting.

her performance is girl interrupted i thought should have won for best actress and not supporting for she stole the film.granted some may say a crazy playing a crazy but no one does it like her.brilliant.same can be said about courtney in larry flynt-a junkie playing a junkie.most people take on roles they can relate to.maybe i like crazy people in films for russell crowe in a beautiful mind was also amazing and even better then his role in gladiator which is one of the few action movies i love(kill bill vol 1 -the only other amazing one as of late)then he did that god awful cinderella man.

now i am going to say i did like original sin and the first tomb raider however everything since then has been shit beyond borders,mr and mrs smith,taking lives,second tomb raider,life or something like it total duds but they are only her fault for picking such mainstream crap.how much range can someone get out of those horrific movies.

speaking of which *cough* drew barrymore i can guarantee you she will do a romantic comedy and play some guys girlfriend in nearly every film for thats what she has done the last 10 or so years which is beyond sad for she will never get her oscar doing such shit that any generic actress not half as good can play hopefully she realizes this by now and will try something better and edgy please dont say well those charlies angels things for they were absolutely positively atrocious.

the best ratio of good to dud is ms. scarlett johansson-now there is a girl who usually knows how to pick them and occasionally will do a mainstream film with no script.

i usually watch over 100 movies a year from that year and if i like 20 its a good year and if i really like 10 its quite a shock and at most only a handful in any given year will blow me away.

It's only her looks and what she does in public that make her famous, not her acting skills.

But... it's pretty much the same with every actress now a days.

I just think people like Kate Winslet and Cate Blanchett are great examples of actresses that actually have talent and know how to pick challenging roles and deliver the goods time and time again. The rest seem to just get noticed for what they are wearing or who they are fucking but then these are shallow times. Why else would the Paris Hilton's of the world be on all the papers?

i definitely do not rate her as an actor. and neither do most people, it seems. most of the hype that surrounds her is about her looks and her personal life, not her acting.

Courtney Love and Angelina Jolie have both played themselves in absolutely every single fiml they've done yet Courtney is an "amazin" actress and Angie is just famous because of her looks and she's somehow untalented.

I really loved her acting in Girl, Interrupted. I thought she was amazing. It's a perfect movie, everything's good. I really haven't enjoyed anything Angie has done after Interrupted. I liked her in Alexander, loved the character and her acting was good.

All of the other movies I've seen are shit and she just plays herself. I wouldn't call her untalented, I think that she's a good actess but she's typecasted because of her looks and I feel she hasn't put any effort into looking for and playing roles that showcase her talent. I don't think she's that interested in movies anymore, she seems to be more interested in being a humanitarian and helping people wich I think is good. I don't see her as an actress because her movies are shit and you hardly hear anything about it. I just see her as a humanitarian wich is something that I like because she adresses issues that people don't usually talk about or pay attention too and I guess she inspires me to do something, I think overall she's a positive role model in society.

I've definetely become open to the idea of adoption and it's because of Angelina Jolie. I feel the world is becoming overpopulated and there are so many children without parents, and even though the adoption process is complicated, I think people should start adopting instead of having kids of their own.
