YES; this just reminded me; I expect to be below away visually by his films, and the sheer amount of craft and dedication that has gone into them, I found my eyes scanning around the set design and clothing, and it didn't disappoint. That was all to be expected though, but I thought the little scene with the Noah's Ark play was so, so well executed!

I thought it was really sweet, such a nice movie. I really like Darjeeling, can't remember Life Aquatic and have yet to see Tenenbaums.

I saw it last night,
Just like Latin ruined my interpretation of English (constantly looking for "stems") my jobs have ruined my appreciation of such a film.
All I'm asking is why does a scout master have a cigarette in his mouth? Scouts any era aren't supposed to smoke, why do the parents allow a child of 12 have that much eye shadow and liner on? Just why why why instead of just enjoying the silliness, I have for a time been a camp counselor to 12 year old kids in a super conservative place where I was threatened with being let go unless I adhere to their beliefs so I'm like flashbacking as I watch in the uncoolest way possible.

Almost everyone smoked in the 60s, even pregnant women?! But I don't think social realism is really the point of a Wes Anderson film....

and as far as the eyeliner goes, i guess for the girls parent her make up was the least of her problems?
