I thought he was going to be Brad Pitt's character but according to imdb he was announced to play Babe Buchinsky:

Apparently Simon Pegg was going to play Archie Hicox but couldn't due to scheduling conflicts.

Also, Joseph Gordon-Levitt was supposed to be in Django Unchained but he left to go and direct his own movie. I would have liked to have seen him in a Tarantino film.

i was uncomfortable a lot but laughed my *** off and clapped whenever a white slave owner got it good (the 95% white theater did not, except my mom, she thought that **** was funny too).

As Chappelle pointed out, there's nothing quite as satisfyingly hilarious as a slave owner getting their just desserts.

That said, I've been over Tarantino for so long that I'm not sure if I'm ever going to bother seeing this. I may, but I expect to cringe a whole hell of a lot.
