Only really good for people stupid enough to believe that because James Bond movies were "old", it meant that they were actually "serious". And the simple people that lived back in the old days took them seriously. They did not. Except for eight-year-old boys, obviously.
I was referring more to the trivia than the overall tone of the film. The sharks with lasers, the rocket into space, the femme robots, Blofeld/Spectre was actually more absurd than Dr. Evil...although Mr. Bigglesworth was quite a home run. I mean if you watched EVERY james bond film...then Mike Myers gags just became ludicrous. I mean Goldfinger is the biggest tub of lard..and then Goldmember is this "has to be pedophile" with a golden wang (after the man with the Golden Gun..who to me was one of the more credible villains)
