| | | I watched a few documentaries on the manson women and another on charles. The most interesting of the girls was Squeaky Fromme. She wasn't involved with the murders directly. She's the only one that, if I recall right, still stays true to manson. She attempted an assassination on President Ford, escaped from prison a few times in attempts to go see manson. She still seems crazy. |

He says that because he knows he isnt getting out this time anyways, and also because basically, he's been inside these institutions for most of his life, since he was 9.
Anyways, he does at times make some pretty valid points that I almost want to agree with, except he then says something totally sick that really doesnt make any sense in relation to what he is talking about.
He speaks in tongues and shit...but he is very charismatic and quite witty. He's fascinating, and could easily star in his own reality tv show. |

Manson studied Scientology in prison, not sure how long, but had 150 hrs auditing, that the heads of scientology tried to deny. |

| | | Just shows how ignorant they are.
Im sure they would think differently if they actually grasped the reality of what he manipulated others to do.
If he had a tv show, I would watch out of curiosity, not because I support his sickness though. |

i dunno, it didnt really phase me. watching the movies based on them, they always try to one up each other on the amount of blood they use, and how crazy they "really" were. so after a while its like "well these people have no idea what happend so, whatever."
it was an awful thing that happend but i also dont get the whole obsession with sharon tate. she wasnt that great as an actress and its very sad she died when she did, but it happend and people dont need to idolize her. I'd much rather see an in depth story of polanskis time after her death. anything having to do with her has him painted in the worst light because of what would happen much later on...
but im rambling now. | Agreed on Polanski. Totally adore him, and if I could dredge it up at the moment, I'd post the picture of him from Life magazine sitting on the porch of the house after Sharon was murdered. His autobiography is quite fascinating, and Roman stated that he cannot pack a suitcase without thinking of her, as she loved to travel.
As for the Tate obsession, I suppose that stems from morbid curiosity. No, she wasn't the greatest actress, but I believe she showed potential. She wanted to get into comedy anyway, which was more her forte. Besides, all Sharon wanted to do after getting pregnant was have a family with Roman and most likely quit acting.
I also agree with you about Manson, and I'd quote that post too, but I'm getting quote crazy here anyway. Quote: |

| | | Tate isnt really idolized. I wouldnt say that. She was a very beautiful looking woman and she got butchered...I think that sort of thing is what gets to people.
In fact, Manson has easily surpassed Tate and the others on name recognition alone.
But yeah, it happened to a hollywood starlet..B starlet or something maybe, but all the same, she was connected to Roman and Hollywood will jump on that story, no matter what. |

| | | I was told ages ago that the last song on GnR's Spaghetti Incident was written by Manson, don't know how true that is.
I've got the film and the book Helter Skelter and find it amazing that someone can have so much control over people. No I'm not a Charlie fan but I do like reading about murderers and stuff like that. |
