| | | Lol, I saw the very first showing the local movie theatre had yesterday. It was pretty entertaining, but I like the Spiderman franchise a lot better. My boyfriend and I both agreed the movie needed more action scenes...more fighting. |

| | | I kinda want to see this.
I have a friend who really wants to go so I'll probably see it with him.
No superhero film will ever compare to Spiderman in my mind however...Maybe the Xmen films...but Spiderman's still much better. |

They didn't make that mistake with X-Men. | the only mistake they made with x-men was the final installment, yuck what a piece of disgusting shit... its right up there with t3.
the only reason to watch superman is to drool over brandon routh, and i cant jutify spending 10 bucks on that. |

| | | I heard that critics are giving that poor guy a lot of shit for seeming "too gay."
I haven't seen it myself ... being older, there's only one Superman for me, and that's the older version. It just can't be replaced in my mind, for some reason. |

| | | We were really looking forward to it, but between the lukewarm reviews and the long running time, now we're not sure what to do. I suppose we'll wind up seeing it over our vacation if we don't get around to it before.

| | | i really enjoyed it. the effects were beautiful at times.
i thought they handled the story and the mythology of superman really well. they updated it just enough.
there was a cell phone picture taken, but for the most part, i think brian singer was going for a timeless feel. it wasnt about whats going on in the world today, but about making hte characters universal. the relationship between clark/superman and lois was appropriate. i like that she didnt come off as a slut and didnt betray her love for her husband or for superman. it was well balanced. |

| | | There was a paddock seen filmed in a little country town like 10 minutes away from where I used to live. The actor who plays superman looks way to plastic. |

| | | Well I swear I got goosebumps and wanted to cry during the opening credits. I got a flashback to my childhood and realized this Superman was not going to be Christopher Reeve. It took me half the movie (good thing it was long), to finally accept Brandon Routh in the role. He actually did a really good job.
The plot did leave a bit to be desired but I think it left an opening for a really good sequel. The special effects were great too but I have a huge problem with CGI and I can recognize it almost instantly so that bothered me a bit sometimes. I think they used it more than they had to, I mean god, they didn't have CGI back in the 70s/early 80s and yet those Superman movies were fucking amazing.
Oh and it sucks that Routh doesn't have naturally blue eyes cuz I swear that's what makes him hot.

| | | i felt this movie was pretty predictable and also had alot of inconsistencies.
i think itd would have been better as a superhero movie minus the baggage of the other Superman movies. but the cgi was great (go team winnipeg!) and it was worth going to the movies since they did put so many effects in it-if thats what yr into. me, not so much.. |
