| | | Transamerica/Breakfast On Pluto Not to clump them together for one reason, I just watched them both, Breakfast first, up North this weekend.
Loved, loved, loved them. Totally new perspective on transanything.
Both leads deserved every award that came at them.
I couldn't believe a Desperate Housewife (and my favourite one, too) could pull this off. I had to get over it at first, you know, "Why can't I get used to this, but it's not JUST about her and her penis problems." What an odd part for a woman. P.S. That prosthetic was hot, and her son was hotter. But, just like any movie, don't give it a run for it's money, just watch it normally.
Breakfast On Pluto was just amazing. I love it so much.
*under breath* Just hand over the money, you whiskery hairy-arsed whore. Oh thank you, mammy! Thank you so much, I love you!
"Well, fuck me pink with a hairy arse!"
"Hairy arse... hairy arse boggedy hole. And cunthooks."
So many hairy arses...
Of course, I picked the rude ones 'cause they sound funny coming out of Kittin's mouth.
Oh, I loved the Border Knights, too. One of my favourite moments. "The only border that matters is between what you're have and what you've left behind. I'm travelling from the past to the future with a druid at my back."
And let's not forget: Breakfast Is Served. Dickie doodle. |

| | | I really liked Transamerica as well. Felicity Huffman was outstanding in it. She actually had me believing that she was in fact, a tranny!! Excellent job by all of the actors. My daughter didn't even wanna see the movie but got sucked in and saw the whole thing and also really really liked it.
Good show!! Good show indeed!! |

| | | It's a rare occurance when I'll acknowledge a film to be better than a book, but I must say that the Breakfast on Pluto film pwned Patrick McCabe's novel. I consider literature to be better than film full stop, so I had low expectations for a BOP movie. Perhaps the reason I enjoyed it so much was that I was dreading parts of it in a sense, and it just blew me away. Also, the book was shite. The Transamerica trailor featured on the Breakfast On Pluto DVD, I'm quite eager to see that too. |

| | | I just couldn't believe it when it ended. I was blown away and it stuck. Not in a "WOWWWWW!" way, but more of a "That changed my perspective for the better."
And her son was hot. Don't usually likethose sorta-string beans, but whoa.
I liked everyone in this movie. I really feel she deserved the Oscar. But,t hen again, Crash won, when there were 15 better films that year, mainstream or otherwise. It's all a popularity contest. |

| | | Especially since the Supporting Actress Award went to Rachel Weiss, which is an insult to THOSE other nominees.
Ugh, but even Citizen Cane didn't win the Oscar. |
