My best friend sobbed on hearing the news at the time (announced in the pub quiz...he was a local lad and all) and she's at it again today

Wow, a year already? Doesnt feel like it! I think Bob is doing an excellent job but I mean, the only thing Richard has over him is the amount of time he's been at the job. Its like Patrick Moore doing Sky at Night for fifty years without missing an episode, automatic cred points there...

i was thinking bout Richard Whiteley today when i happened to catch the end of Countdown... although i must say I.m.o. Des Lynam is doing a good job... he's funny...
the only quiz type shows i ever wanted to go on was The Crystal Maze (does it need an explanation as to why?) and Treasure Hunt...

Richard Whiteley was a complete perve. My mums mates husband is a taxi driver and used to drive him around alot and he used to lean out of the window and shout at women in the street.
