The gentleman I'm staying with, he says he used to deliver flowers to her house frequently. The first time he went there, he mistakenly brought them to the front door. She flipped out and told him to "get the **** off my doorstep!".
He says toward the end of her life she drank from morning 'till night. And that she was an absolute **** to work for.
Anyway. I didn't believe him at first, because I've always thought of Lucille Ball as more of a machine than a human being with actual flaws. Kind of the way I think of Madonna. But, then I decided to YouTube her (which, surprisingly, I've never done) and aside from coming off as very demanding and sort of regal in interviews, she pretty much slurs her way through every single one starting in the mid-1970s.
I love hearing her talk, though. She was soooo Classic Hollywood.
