Brilliant, good plot/atmosphere triumphs over huge budget and effects.
My sister just came back from a round the world trip. She went to Australia and drove passed Wolf Creek which was creepy.

SPOILERS: Highlight to see.

She had 3 seconds to get out of the car and run. She should've.


By the way, all right movie. Lots and lots of build-up, which I appreciated. Most people, though, were probably screaming for something to happen.

They could've used all that drive around time to get the audience more in-touch with the characters instead of shots of them tinkering around/sleeping.

Not to mention the elephant gun of a revolver, what happened to it?
I, myself, wouldn't have even gotten that far. Because as soon as the initial "we're in trouble/rifle scene" happened, I would've been playing Bunny from Platoon on his skull with it.

She should've put the gun through his neck, not have left then driven into the place.

the girls were so stupid. the head on a stick scene made me almost tear up because i really thought since she was.. ahhh no spoilers.
but it's a very effective movie.

just watched it again this a.m. it's only meh. so much stupidity on the part of the campers. like the first chick should have run instead of trying to save her friend when she heard her scream. i'm sorry, but all bets are off except for my own safety at that point, unless my child was involved and i'd have to go all apeshit wolf-mother type of deal.

Especially when you know he's a merciless killer.

A: You won't get there in time
B: You'll be closer to him and farther away from safety
C: How the Hell would you stop him?

i once put so much self serve "butter" on my popcorn it seeped through the bag and stained a skirt. it never came out. but it was really good popcorn.

i am serious about my popcorn.

ive even looked into actual movie theater "fresh" poppers and butter dispensers to install in my apartment. the butter dispenser costs are unholy, though. i think i saw one going for $300. so, you can imagine how much the poppers cost.

and, hot buttered, yes. though, you know that shit isnt real butter. one could only guess what kind of alien underbelly rock slime it really is. but, its oh-so-addicting.
