 12th and Delaware: HBO Do***entary
I will be shocked if this thread doesn't die a quick, painful death, but here goes:
This film/do***entary is awesome.
It depicts a street where an Abortion Clinic and an Anti-Abortion clinic both exist right within steps of each other.
The Anti Abortion Clinic calls itself "Preganancy Care Center" and often draws in unsuspecting women seeking abortion services. The tactics the staff, particularly the head "counselor" uses upon the pregnant women/teens is, depending upon what side of the fence one sits, quite provocative and/or offensive.
The battle goes on every single day and the anti-choice people picket 24/7 in front of the abortion clinic while yelling names, slogans, showing bloody, mutilated fetuses to the owner, who pulls out of the clinic garage to pick up the abortion doctor from a faraway location who must be cloaked and covered up in a sheet for his own safety.
This do***entary shows that the "Operation Rescue" folks (who are namedropped often) are still alive and well. Their tactics are more sophisticated within their clinics than ever. Abortion clinics however, are under constant siege, and as shown in this do***entary, its doctors and their families are far less protected.
No matter what side one falls upon, I think you should see this.
