My friend is so SO convinced that 90% of everybody in the entrainment business i.e. actors, models, singers, producers etc etc. Are on coke or meth. If somebody is even slightly hyper or erratic or is skinny or has lost a bunch of weight recently she says " god what a cokehead " and I get so angry cause most of the time its somebody that I happen to somewhat like. I know it is a big drug in Hollywood but I really dont think its that bad... she just tells me Im stuck in a bubble and need to see how the real world really is. If you name some famous people Im sure I can tell you if she thinks they are one.

Considering a lot of them are scientologist or part of a religion that is anti drugs not all of them will be. Other just say no. I say 50% AT THE MOST.

yes and yes. without a doubt. perhaps a bit less than 90%, but a healthy majority.

all those people you see on the cover of the magazines and that the shallow media likes to focus on are DEFINITELY on coke. I'd hate to think of the amount of people the media people don't pounce all over that are on the stuff.

yes they all really are from boybands to hollywood actors and especially models, it's just part of the lifestyle and it's so available. i wish i could afford to live on coke

Seriously...You're having to work all the time (or do photoshoots, or interviews) during the day, partying all night, and having to go out in public quite often so you're photographed and people stay interested you and US weekly prets your picture, and spend enough time on your appearance that you don't look like shit when you do go out. And, you have to keep yourself calorie-deprived because it's massive public humiliation if you gain a pound, which cuts your energy. No one could do all of this without something helping them.

But aren't the people who are the most militantly religious usually the biggest hypocrites? I sort of equate the Tom Cruise-scientologists with corrupt televangelists or conservative christians who are really sleazeballs. I wouldn't be surprised if they all snorted coke and laughed at the stupid fucks who give them money at the secret "high-level" scientology meetings.

duh, I know there is retouching I'm not talking about how they look I'm just saying all those celebrities are cokeheads. The Lindsay Lohans, Nicole Richies, Mary Kate Olsen's, etc. Those are the ones the media focuses on now which is why I call this decade the shallowest one because compare the celebrities of today to the ones of the 90s.

It's not just famous people, so many folks in Los Angeles are into coke. I was amazed when I first moved down here how many people at my work were cokeheads and how freakin EASY it is to buy it, especially in Burbank.

a while ago, during the time when kate moss first got busted, this chick was on FashionTelevision (canadian show) and this lady, i've seen her before on lots before and she pretty much said, everybody in the industry does it, from models to photographers to agents to make up artists. it's they're way of life. then she said, it's in no way glamorous, but it's something that a lot of people need to get thru thier day.

There was an italien photographer who wrote into the times saying exactly the same thing, but only about models. Saying coke was the only way they could cope with the stress...poor things, really. don't you just sympathise so much?
