We live in a modern world that is incredibly shallow and we've been taught and conditioned to see a lifestyle and a bodytype that are almost unnatainalbe to most people, as pretty and the only thing that is socially acceptable and the thing we should look for. We are infested by morons like Star Jones who are obviously uncomfortable with their physique, not because they don't like themselves, but because they are not even close to this stupid and unreal ideal of beauty, and who go and transform themselves beyond recognition just to fit in, instead of trying to love themselves more.

WE ARE FASHION VICTIMS!!!!! We live in fear of not having the right tit size, the right dick length, the right car, the right cell phone, the right body, the right house, because we've been taught that if we don't have this things, things that male corporate chauvinist pigs think are cool then we are not desirable and we are nothing.

The most ironic thing is that beauty is, in a big part, a cultural imposition. Fat women used to be beautiful because it was a synonim of money, because this women were fat because they could afford to eat. Obesity is now ugly because it's the opposite, it's a sign of poverty, if you are fat it means you don't have the money to afford a spa, you are lame, you are ugly.

The true question is: is being overweight or heavy ugly? is it beautiful?? are our tastes and likings a true reflection of who we are or we've been taught to like this and that??? who are we??

in the midst of all this chaos and obscurity there are UGLY people like Sandra Bernhard who rely on talent and personality to get ahead, and though they might not be comfortable with who they are, they accept themselves. Or they are inmune to the INSANE amount of pressure to change and denounce who we are and become mannequins. But they are not really ugly. They are beautiful. We've just been taught to see them as ugly.

But most people fall victims to the stereotypes. to fashion. to shallowness. Even brilliant people like Courtney Love.

Nicole Richie, Ashlee Simpson, Cher, just to name a few of the fashion victims.


Thank goodness for people like Sandra Bernhard. Ugly people who rock and are real and have some substance for a change and go beyond the looks.
