"OZ" appreciation thread/talk/musings, etc.

I never managed to watch it the first time round. What can I say, with the constraints of unsociable working hours, I could only manage to try to keep up with "Seinfeld".

Anyway, I FINALLY got the DVD box set of "OZ" and, I have to say, I understand why it was so critically acclaimed! I'm currently as far as series 3, and, if I didn't have to contend with uni, finding a job, etc, I could easily watch every episode concurrently.

Anyone here watched, or is in the process of catching up with it?

I gotta admit, the reason I started watching it was because of the ****-erotic potential, but the character development is the best I've ever seen in a mini-series.

OZ was a great series. It still remains one of my favorites of all time.

I love the relationships between all of the different characters...the story lines are interesting and I love the openings with Augustus...he was a great narrator.

My favourite part of the whole show was Ryan and Cyril...I think that their brothery love made the show stronger.

When Patti Lupone and Betty Buckley join the cast it is perfection.

Tobias, Keller and Schillinger also have a great storyline.

Said is so dynamic...love him!

I would say the only thing that bothered me were the spoon, when Chip from Kate & Allie went into the whole and I saw him naked...and when Toby killed that guard.

One of my favourite shows ever ever ever...whenever I hear the HBO static I think that Oz is going to start.
