I remember reading how they were going to have Depp, Law and Farrell all share Heath Ledger's unfinished scenes. They must have had to do a major re-write to sort of explain why the character had four different 'manifestations'.

terry can go fuck himself for all i care. blah brazil is overrated and all his film have problems although some have magnificent moments but for the most part he can go fuck himself.

Yeah, pretty much? I kind of liked Brazil, but I think it should just have been 1984, directed by Gilliam. Which is similar anyway, but I wanted it more similar. Because then you could watch it in English class instead of the one with [William?] Hurt in it. THOUGH I'll tell you what. After watching the Hurt one, I was asking the class if they could identify motifs from the film, and one kid said "bush". I laughed.

Actually, I don't think they really did - they just needed to add in a couple of small details at the start, and it made sense. He died before they'd filmed any of the "through the mirror" stuff, so they could make whatever they liked happen through the mirror - including people's appearances cahnging.

To be honest though, they're not very consistent with that in the film...
