This movie is unsettling and scary. I don't even believe in demons and it made my heart race so fast....

these are all my sentiments about horror movies ever:

Quote:
the only horror movies that scare me are ones about the devil. I can handle slashers and I LOVE jumping out of my seat, I love crazed serial killers and I can deal with ghosts and what not, and they have no lasting effect. But movies about demons and what not are more unsettling to me than scary, and it prevents me from sleeping and doesn't let me have any fun
i have no problem with gore, or any crazy horror "disturbing" shit. but once you start getting involved with demons & possessions & all that stuff, it's a wrap.

call me superstitious or w/e, but it's true. i would've hail mary'd my ass outta that bitch theatre so fast if i wasn't already drunk as fuck.

the ending did make me jump like a bitch, but its all the little stuff that still kinda creeps me out. like... her standing there... i mean... that's actually happened to me with ex female companions, sans demonic possession, but still... its just so fkn disturbing to remember that.

still gets me.

i liked it. i actually did. i went with some pussies from the navy, & two of them walked out cuz they were so fucked up about it.

the ending was so predictable, yet so fucked up. i never jump or talk during movies, but i literally knocked my soda out of my seat and screamed the word cunt & bitch ten times when it happened.

what was the "real" story it was supposed to be about? if there even was one.
steven spielberg suggested that particular ending. they had 2 alternate endings but I think it worked best with what they ended up with. I heard he saw the movie for the 1st time at home, put the movie in a garbage bag and carried it to the studio & announced, we gotta make this movie.

the movie studio wanted to do a more polished version with better known actors - but spielberg was all, like, Ya know...um, nah.

yes, the little things. the creep factor is what did it for me. like the ceiling tile in the closet....

It's cool you feel the same. I love horror movies, slashers are a part of my teenagehood and I love haunted houses and murderers and crazy peeps, etc. Movies like that are scary at the moment, but when I go home I have no problem sleeping. The Strangers is a good example of a genuinely frightening movie, yet I was not "messed up" after it. But demons? I can't really handle that.

The original version with the alternate ending was released to torrent sites.
