I just saw the last two episodes. Meh, mediocre...though Lorelai convincing her parents that Stars Hollow is a shit hold was funny. Zach writing a song with Lane's mom was awesome, too.

What's up with Logan and Rory? I wish it would end. She turns into this...I don't know...trophy wife around him.

The Jess episode was disappointing. I was expecting the meeting to be more engaging or more intense. I don't know...just MORE! Okay so they kiss and then she leaves. Big deal. At least he seems like he has a cool life in Philly.

Ever since Rory went to Yale the show has kind of gone downhill.
Logan is a huge prick, Jess is never on (), Luke's kid is just as talkative as Lorelei which I find annoying.
The whole Zach and Mrs. Kim thing was adorable and I've formed a new love from Mrs. Kim, she's so cute, yet strict at the same time haha.

I like Luke's kid. However, I do not like how Lorelai is handling the situation. She doesn't want to mess up the relationship so much that she is compromising on important things.

Jess has a new show on so I doubt if he will ever be on again. The last episode didn't give him any room to come back. At least the last time he was on we wanted to know more about his book and his job and his new life. Now we know all of that. We also know that Rory is in love with Logan. Therefore! There is no longer any room for Jess. He paid his debt to Luke, too. That sucks.

Half of the show went downhill somewhere around her time at Yale. It feels as if the writers don't seem to know what to do with Rory. At the same time...she's acting like a typical 21 year old. I guess she wasn't always going to be cute Rory.

p.s. My favorite scenes with Rory are definitely when she's with Paris. We need more Paris and Rory friendship!

i haven't watched the last episode yet, it's still sitting on my dvr waiting for me. but i was very excited about jess coming back, i guess i'm going to be disappointed huh?

i just wish rory would get away from logan.

secretly i want gilmore girls to get sluttier. i hope rory gets more action this season, and there's more jess. rory is 21, not 14. and she still has these precious little boyfriends she pecks on the cheek and then trots off to class. it's staring to take the believeability out of the show.

i really wanted rory to end up with jess. i know he was supposed to be the bad boy fling and all, but i've always felt like they should be together.

i'm stuck in a horrible limbo, after seeing the end of season 4 and now being too poor to order in #5 from overseas. they started to show the fifth season on channel 9 here [in australia] but took it off after a few episodes. motherfuckers.

sonic youth will be on the finale. thats so weird but one more reason why the show is cool despite being squeeky family clean.

I am so sick of the Rory-Logan relationship! She's being all distant and bitchy to him because she hasn't forgiven him, yet she's still too much in love with him to fuck Jess?

I really wanted Rory and Jess to get back together. He's more interesting than any of the other boys that shes dated. I think the writers took more care in actually developing a character and backstory for him, whereas Logan and Dean are more two-dementional.

I liked season 4 (first Yale year), and some of season five too - i think the whole Rory storyline started going downhill with Logan. I heard the creator of the show talking about how she thought Rory needed some bumps in her life to make her more mature, i'm just not convinced that bringing this idiot into her life was the best way to go with this.
And i agree that out of all of her boyfriends, Jess is the one with the best backstory, but i'm still mesmerized by all the Jess loving among fans of the show, with everyone talking about how he was perfect for Rory, and great, and etc... how quickly people forget... because if i recall correctly, he was an asshole when he was actually on the show, and not just to Rory, to everyone else too. In a nutshell, Logan minus the money.
He may have changed, but i still found it ironic when he showed up earlier this season and told her she should go back to school, considering he had previously begged her to drop out and disappear with him at the end of season four.

I've hardly watched this season. I have all the previous seasons on DVD so I'll probably just buy it when it comes out and catch up then. Although I will def. make a mental note of the Sonic Youth episode. Apparently Kim and Thurston are big fans.

Yeah, it is ironic. He did ask her to leave everything behind, but along with everything else, that part of Jess has changed. At least to an extent. He can't believe Rory has been able to mingle in society with a straight face. Neither can I, actually. I remember the first seasons when her grandparent's world was foreign to her. I do like her grandparents, though. They're one of the best parts of the show.

I'm still a Jess lover. If only because of what he could have been to Rory. I do realize he was such an asshole to her and to everyone in the town. We must all have a soft spot for bad boys we think we can change.

i havent seen season 5, so i cant comment on whats his face (i already hate logan just reading about the stuff that happens).

the show was definitely best when rory still lived at home. its like with buffy, the show also went way downhill the moment they all graduated hs (i will never forgive them for introducing riley, yuck yuck yuck).

Yeah, I always thought the show could use a little more scandal on Rory's part, and a little more Uni fun.
