Has anyone seem this episiode, lol i think the myspace couple is just rediculous, i almost hope they do an update a few months to a yr later to see if they actually stuck togeather.

My boyfriend's 20 year old sister met a boy on myspace who's a soldier in Iraq...apparently they're getting married in May when he gets back. He lives in fucking Tennessee. She says she can't wait to meet his family. How about meeting HIM? How can you even tell if you're truly compatible or not with someone if you haven't even spoken with them in person? It's not like you can get in a fight and work through problems on the phone or through messenger. It annoys me so much.

You can actually have a fight with someone on the phone or through messenger. I have had break-ups happen due to such things! I'm particularly hard-headed, sometimes cruel, and probably a bit obstinate. And I drink. Which I guess makes a big difference.

The internet / myspace marriage thing is weird though. It must work for some people though, otherwise they'd stop doing it.

I completely agree. I've had plenty of fights over the phone and through messenger, too. But what is there to fight about when your boyfriend's in Iraq and you're in dreamland and this is your only means of communication? It's unrealistic. It's not possible to really know if you'll be good together unless you've spent time IRL. I guess as soon as he gets back, they're getting married and moving to Germany where he's stationed next.
