I really like trashy old films and would love it if people could recommend some more for me to watch. I guess the modern equivalent of a lot of these is torture porn, which just bores me, so don't tell me to go watch Saw to the power n. This doesn't mean I'm averse to some good modern weird stuff though, and I do like films like Primer and Pi.

I guess the genres I've used in the title are pretty broad, examples of the stuff I like and want to watch more of are I Walked With A Zombie, Freaks, The Bodysnatcher, Village of the Damned, Plan 9 From Outer Space, The Spiral Staircase, The Birds, Carrie; classic trash to spooky and terrifying horror. Or just use this thread for general chat about cult films. GO!

poor carrie. don't you really just want her to have so much fun at the dance and go home and then the movie is over every time you watch it even though you know damn well there's about to be blood and fire and motherstabbing?

Despite spending most of my adolescence in a darkened room with piles of horror films, I've somehow managed to avoid watching any Halloween films. Not sure how this has happened, since Halloween seems like a teenage staple, like Nightmare on Elm Street and the Scream films. Mental note made to make up this gap in my knowledge. Thanks for the recommendation.

I'm quite excited about this thread because I've just been initiated into the miracle of torrents and am in awe of the possibilities, like a grandma who's just discovered email.

This movie is god awful. Not even good in any sort of campy way.
