Just got back from seeing this, and yes, I liked it a lot.
The backdrop was amazing of course, and it excited me because I went to most of the places shown in the film back in May and loved it.
I'd read in another thread that Gelf didn't like Scarlett at all in this which worried me, but I'm not so sure? I think it was her character that was a bit annoying more than Scarlett herself.
Javier was brilliant and very funny, but the best performance was definitely from Penelope. Too fucking funny. I wished she'd been in more of the film. Gotta love that crazy Mediteranean temperament.

I saw it about a month back, and I enjoyed it. Penelope Cruz looks great in it...I don't think I've seen her look better.

I kind of feel bad for Vicky's husband at the end...settled for and all and he doesn't even know. I like the actress who plays Vicky! Rebecca Hall is I think her name?

tbh I can't seem to get along with Scarlett Johannsen in anything. I don't know what it is that bothers me about her. It's not that I think she's a rubbish actress, there's just something about her that irks me.

The ending was a letdown (not in a "this is a bad film" way, but in terms of how everything ends up for all of the characters) and I said that to my bf and he said... well that's what would happen in real life probably. And I think he's right.

The lips.

I think it's her lips. They get in the way of pretty much all facial emotion.

She has a cracking pair of lips but she needs those bastards cut off if I'm going to take her seriously in any role. lol.
