I hate that Winslet and Streep got in for such mediocrity just because there is this need to award them based on their reputations. When performances like Michelle Williams in Wendy and Lucy got nothing. Lame.

Melissa Leo gave the best performance of the year and at least they nominated her.

i wouldnt go that far...halle had a supporting role in that film and it felt as if kate had a supporting role as well. same for liam. they both propped the boy whose name i cant remember right now.

i REALLY liked anne hathaway in rachel getting married and it was a tough unlikable character that somehow was likable in a way.

BTW my ALL-TIME FAVE WINNER was nicole kidman!!!!!! that horrific speech that she acted and tried to make seem genuine was beyond embarrassing. its fun to youtube just bc she makes you feel soooo uncomfortable.

i havent seen melissa leos movie yet, but i will.

My all-time fave is Jules. THEY'RE CALLED BOOBS.

jules sally field impression and her "stick man" joke/comment/diss didnt bother me nearly as much as nic trying to act during her speech. buy jules was pretty bizarre as hell.
