Well, this is the first I have heard about the release.

But, I used to watch Star Trek all the time. Especially, Star Trek, The Next Generation.

But, I have not watched t.v. for a good 5 years now...

Yup, I'm looking forward to it

I'm definately looking forward to it, and I definately want to see it at the cinema... but I hate it when they go 'back to basics' on a franchise you've grown up with. Especially recasting and messing with the technology and stuff. I know it's not 'real' and probably looks a bit weird and trek-geeky, but it just seems so unnecessary to me.

I wish they just would have relaunched Ds9, or actually given the Next Gen cast the decent send off which Nemesis certainly wasn't

My friend and I were in the cinema recently, and the trailer for this came on which we'd never seen before (right from the beginning when he said something like "My name is James Tiberius Kirk"), and then a brand new Watchmen trailer. We were going ballistic. We had to calm ourselves down before the film started.
