So my new cable plan has this channel that shows sex and the city everyday and I'm hooked again, what an amazing show really.

But everytime I see it I wonder about the fascination with Big. Big was a big part of the show, no pun intended, because the audience wanted it too be like that, people wanted Carrie to be with Mr. Big, but the question is, why?

Mr. Big is the most ammoral, selfish, self indulgent and narcissistic character I've ever seen on television. And there are people like him in real life and he is simply despicable.

I mean the things that he has done to Carrie are really beyond forgiveness and I don't think it matters how much you can love a person like that, no one would stay in love with such a person for long and NO ONE would marry Big after what he did to carrie in the movie.

But why do people love him?? and I know they do because I've asked people, who would you choose? Aidan or Big?? and the answer is ALYWAS BIG.

I'll tell you why, because he is goodlooking, is loaded and can crack a few jokes. That's it, I mean isn't that PATHETIC??

And the way Carrie blames everyone for Big's fuck ups except Big himself is indicative of our sexist culture where the man is the stud and the woman is the slut.

I am proud of the fact that I wouldn't choose Big. Granted, no one like Big would stoop to my level but if I had the choice I would still choose Aidan.

Don't get me wrong, I love beauty like the next wanker, in fact my fascination with beauty as a whole borders on plain obsession.

But a good heart always comes first for me.
