Arguably the most successful Japanese Manga series of all time, the second movie, Death Note II: The Last Name is finally playing on big screens in Canada.



Death Note II: The Last Name is a live action feature film based on the Japanese manga series Death Note created by writer Tsugumi Ohba and illustrator Takeshi Obata. In this amazing story, Light Yagami is a high school student who discovers a supernatural notebook called the Death Note. The device was dropped to Earth by a Death God (shinigami) named Ryuk for his own amusement.

The actual Death Note item grants its user the ability to kill anyone whose face they have seen, by writing the victim's name in the notebook. Once charged with this enormous power, Light attempts to cleanse the world of evil, but this is no easy task...

the second one is so much better than the first

We are going to watch the first Death Note on a big screen TV and then go to the Empire Theatre at Front and Church (across from the St Lawrence Market) on Weds Dec 3rd to see the sequel.

This will be my first time seeing the sequel . I always hoped some movie theatre would show it - and now they have!
