| | | Whos your favorite MTV VJ? I dont think MTV uses VJs much anymore. If anyone remembers when MTV started and all tyhe way up til around the mid nineties MTV had peronalities. Most were VJ's but some were music news people such as Kurt Loder.
My favorite VJ was, oh God the cute guy, think he may still be on the network, John Norris. Also like when they had gay porn star Simon Rex on and Grace Slicks daughter even though she was short lived on MTV. One time MTV had a VJ contest and this hippy guy won. They never utialized him much but the guy was a total trip. Wish they would have used him more.
My least favortie VJ was nineties era "Kennedy" I doubt it was her real name. She was at the tail end of the era when MTV was VJ orientated. Also Downtown Julie Brown bugged me for some reason(not Juile Brown red haired actress) I dont think VH1 ever had VJs. They were big personalities and real famous in the eighties and earlier part of the nineties.
Any favorties? |

| | | Bill Bellamy was always really annoying.
I liked Matt Pinfield the most I guess because he just seemed real and knew what the fuck he was talking about.
Kennedy was amusing.
Riki Rachman was annoying because if he told a joke and it make his crew laugh, he would repeat the punch line 2-3 times more.
Oh and Downtown Julie Brown totally fucked Vanilla Ice. Wubba wubba wubba!
Yeah um, I was def an Mtv baby. |

| | | Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter, Martha Quinn, J.J. Jackson (RIP) and Nina Blackwood.
Those were the original lineup.
One that annoyed me from memory would of been Kevin Seal. |

| | | this thread is terrible, and i'm embarrassed to be posting it in.
but mine's Jesse. that faux time-warped hippie with a drug-slur and homeless person hair.
hands down.
and then i always enjoyed that that tiny bald man -- dave something? who was the runner up in that competition, also got a show- two shows infact, and they were both better than contest winner Jesse. and that bald hipster man still works at MTV, whereas Jesse lasted like 4 months until his novelty wore off along with his motivation to show up and/or be coherent. |

Matt Pinfield was the little bald guy, Dave Holmes had regular brown hair though. (Unless there was another little bald guy but I don't remember one.. Matt Pinfield never came across to me as a hipster though?) Dave Holmes was the one who was the runner-up to Jesse Camp. I think MTV let Dave get a contract as well because he knew so much. Dave Holmes I think is still hosting some show on Court tv with some blonde chick. Or he was a few years ago. Matt Pinfield I think now hosts some online music channel.
Matt Pinfield and Dave Holmes were probably the most normal/regular-guy hosts the show had. They were kinda refreshing. Sometimes I simply was not in the mood to deal with the vj's that were quirky, I just wanted to watch videos. |

| | | Not sure of the VJs past like 95 or so Dont know.
Who was the blonde haired guy with the kind of long hair that they would dress up all sexy and rockerish on some days? He seemed to always wear alot of hairspray. he was cute. I liked him as a VJ.
Yes Jesse was the guy that won! I forget the other guy the was runner up but really surprised they didnt use that spaz for longer, he won the contest and was gone a month or two later.
I dont think the other hippy guy that was older before him with the round glasses counted did he? Wasnt he just a voting mascot during Clintons first win? I never rember him VJing. |

MTV is just balls.

I think in foriegn markets and maybe mtv2 but thats it.
I dont find MTV or VH1 very entertaining anymore. The only show I can stand is Charm School and Celb Rehab which isnt even MTV formatted shows. |

| | | Is all Adams fault! Its all Adams fault MTV went down the drain thanks to him inventing the IPod.
No just kidding. I did like this guy though. I always like the way they dressed him. His hairspray was always so notivbleablr.
I forgot his name. I doubt any relation to MTV reality darling Adrienne Curry. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
