Who here has seen this? It's a Spanish zombie film, quite recent. It's a mock-umentary and it's really good. I saw this last night in the theatre with some of my friends and we really enjoyed it.
i have seen it- i dont know if im very interested in seeing quarantine tho
if only to see if they did REC justice- but usually american horror remakes fail epically

What I find sad is that the American remakers jumped on it so fast REC hadn't even been released yet.
I've wanted to see this for a while but couldn't find it anywhere in the city.

yes, the last moments of the film are the reason I can't bear to turn off my computer, bedroom light and go to sleep tonight...
I think I may end up crawling in my mom's bed. Is it sad that I do that every couple months and I'm 18? Since I was little I've been sleeping with my mom for a few different nights each year due to watching something freaky on TV or having really bad nightmares (my nightmares are like the most fucked up things ever. Real horrorshow)
I torrented this movie and just watched it and I am still fucking shaking.
That scene in the penthouse at the end is absolutely not fun.
I am fucking shaking from that shit. I need lots of TLC after this movie, it was all kinds of wrong.
I want to fucking rip my hair out and cry.
Regardless, A+, I just feel the need to vomit, scream, and cry.
I don't want to go anywhere without a 50 caliber fucking rifle. This is obscene. I haven't been this freaked out since I was around 16.
Edit: No, we're going to talk SPOILERS. Now. Highlight:
What the fuck was that thing in the penthouse really? I mean, really. That was just too much when that kid attacks the camera and it goes all Silence of the Lambs and that fucking demon bitch from Hell with the fucking hammer comes in. I want to purge.
I knew it was going downhill when that kid threw up on her mother but dfoudfguoasg.
Anyways. I hope the Americans don't fuck something as simple as this up. It's not just that it's scary because it won't make your head literally implode or anything but it's wel made and the acting's realistic. Not all Shakespearean play intense brooding moments acting.
My friend was so motion sick from the film that she threw up multiple times after wards over a period of two and a half hours.
She couldn't handle the jerky camera angles. She didn't know that it was going to be filmed through a handheld camera.
I saw it in a really busy theatre and people LOLed so hard at SPOILER AHEAD v
crazy old broad getting hit in face with hammer.
I can't even deal with the last bit. I've been sleeping with my hall light on and keeping my cat very close by (I don't know how this helps. He totally would just ignore it if some demon thing attacked me. He'd just cuddle me or something.)

oh jesus. i ignored this. thanks for putting that up, otherwise i would've sit through it and probably ended up vomiting after 3 minutes - i just cant. i feel too sick.
I never had the motion sickness and it sucks that people get that.
But holy shit that last part was nuts. The point of horror films, imo, is to experience what's going on. And I imagined clearly what was going on in that room and I fucking lost my bearings. I mean, what the Hell, man. One bad scene after the next...
Downloading REC and Quanrantine right now to judge for my self these crazy movies. I HATE jombie films with a passion, they make me shit my pants at night, and then I cannot sleep ):

The old lady zombie looks really scary (they've basically done the exact same scene set-up from REC) but she obviously has had make up and/or special effects to make her look not human, which they didn't do in REC and I like that better cus it was still freaky without being typical zombie-film stuff.
Plus, the flow of the original is going to be hard to match. It was just fluid from one moment to the next.
But the worst fucking part is that shitty fucking ass intro. Stupid typical American horror film bullshit. It's not remake hatred here, just American horror film boredom. "In an era where people were trapped in a building..." Give me a fucking break. This is about as scary as a fucking goth metal t-shirt.
my friend and i were told this was one of the scariest films ever made! and that hardcore horror fans who never batted an eyelid normally were so scared they couldb't sleep for days after watching it!
however we found it kind of naff though well filmed and tense it parts it just wasn't scary or especially original. we were really disapointed especial after the hype and bearing in mind i scare easily! also the lead woman was the spitting image danielle lloyd.
