I believe it debuts next week? I am a dork and will watch this. I don't have movie channels so I will have to visit my parents. It looks like it might actually have some interesting characters and be sort of tongue in cheek? Some of the 6 Ft Under higher ups are working on it.
ok, i have to fucking see this!!! sfu was one of the greatest shows ever. and vampires, i love the vampire movies/shows so i will totally be geeking out with you on this one, ya know, if/when it airs over here.
only one person on kr is watching this besides me? that's kind of sad. i know there are both buffy and sfu tards on this here message board.
i watched the teaser hbo was airing a few weeks back and i was a bit apprehensive. vampire has change of heart, wants to be human and live with them. i was totally expecting an angel story line but it's really not. i was pleasantly surprised. the show seems very promising. plus its got alan's sense of humor.
anyway. when did vampires become fashionable again? maybe i just stopped caring after the 4th season of buffy but it seems to be everywhere. does this mean its midly acceptable now for me to wear burgundy eyeshadow? bc its sort of awesome.

Could you figure out if it is supposed to be like the near future? I know that they had a referendum regarding the vampires coming out of the closet...I also like the Civil War references and the scenery.
LOL. that is pretty shitty. you see really see the buffy angel thing i was talking about.
i think what makes this vampire story different is that it's less sci-fi and more drama. it's not about the paranormal. the vampires don't live in coffins, well not all. they are actual members of society and out in the open. no one is running around with crosses and garlic.
there is a little bit of the paranormal with sookie, anna paquin's character but you'll have to watch it to find out what that is.
a lot has happened in the first episode already. if the rest of the season is anything like it, it's going to be a good show.

I watched the first half the the premiere, I thought it was kind of weird but also intriguing. i thought the modern day spin they put on the traditional vampire story was cool, not too corny.
It's on my list to watch. I haven't had a moment to review it yet.

actually, the show is pretty amazing. some of the over doing it with the Southern accent is kind of disturbing. but, it is really good. i watched the first two episodes. i am hooked.
i always wondered what happened to the hot Aussie guy from Dead Silence. I am glad he is running around in it as a half naked sweaty coon ass. i am having rape fantasies about him. "squeal like a piggie little faggot!!""" hahaha.
