| | | Swingtown Am I the only one who watches this show? i love it. It is smart and thought provoking. It has a good soundtrack. I love the characters and the story lines. It is about a couple, Bruce and Susan, who move to a more affluent Chicago neighborhood in the seventies. They leave behind their best friends, Roger and Janet and make friends with the swingers across the street, Tom and Trina.
The ratings have dropped since they moved it to a new night. Also, the right wingers have petitioned it to be canceled because of it's lack of morality. I don't know how it got picked up by CBS. But seriously, why do American's love shitty television? This show should have been on HBO or Showtime.
So, does anyone else love this show? I am probably the only one who watches since it is on CBS. Generally, CBS sucks moldy, grampy cock. |

| | | I want to watch it but it's one of those shows that evades me. Plus, I keep forgetting about it. I do like Molly Parker though, so I'll tune in. |

| | | she is great in it. I don't know if I like the direction her character is taking. I don't want to spoil it for you. I like she is becoming more feminist. but, I don't like the fact she is falling in love with a certain character.
and the shitty television I was talking about was not Swingtown. It is actually really good. I meant stupid shit like the two thousand crime solving dramas or America's got talent, Idol, blah, blah, blahbity blah.\
I like this show. And Weeds. |

| | | I don't get people on here. I thought they were all grungey and anti-mainstream at first. And then it's like "wtf is swingtown?" back to the Idol thread. Ugh.
There is nothing good about Idol. Die, you pig bitches.
Anyways, I want to see some good ole fashioned hairy armpits on these lasses if I watch. |

| | | so i watched the season finale. i hope it is not the series finale. they are shopping it to cable networks. it's not gonna be coming back to cbs. the right winger anti movement got to it. the advertisers got a bit shakey and they changed nights on it. i think the show would be great on showtime. it is much too smart and risque for CBS. you know it was tamed down a bit.
i don't like the way it ended with Molly Parker's character. i don't see her as the type of person who would do that. that is the only thing i didn't like about the show.
it's a shame that everyone here watches Big Brother and nobody else but me watches this show.
but, if you feel like checking it out, they have the whole season on CBS.com. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
