Dr Who / New Series - March 31st

I've accidentally caught the repeats of the new Dr Who a couple of times this week, and I can't get over how much I enjoy them.

Highlight was the gorgeous criminal hot guy kissing Dr Who. That warmed my under-represented-by-the-BBC heart.

I'm surprised how good Christopher Ecclestone is, although the Christmas episode makes it look like David Tennant will be pretty fab too.

I really like the hot criminal tag-along guy, it has to be said. (Apparently he's called Jack).

Also the darleks are still fucking terrifying.

Cheshire Cat has disabled reputation
I used to watch it when I was little but now I can hardly remember it. I must get it out on video some time. Oh well, at least Tom Baker is on Little Britain now.

We just started getting the new series. I like it so far, but I am partial to the old episodes. Ooh, a Dalek is for sure my baby daddy.

Captain Jack was on Celebrity Ice Dancing recently, wearing a really tight cowboy outfits and dancing to Oklahoma. It was immense.

I love Doctor Who, particularly liked the WW2 episode with the scary little kid with the gas-mask face. 'Are you my mummy?' Scared me more than the Daleks. I'm such a wuss.

Oh god, the new Doctor Who is amazing. *drool* And the BBC is doing a spin-off called Torchwood, featuring Captain Jack, which I guess is supposed to be racier. I know I'm looking forward to both that and the new season of Doctor Who with David Tennant.

i have absoloutely no interest in doctor who, apart from the fact that there are subtle subliminal clues in it like the dalek graffiti hidden around in the background etc and for some reason this makes me want to watch it AND SPOT THEM ALL. and just KNOW.

Same here! "Go to your room!" haha!
We didnt get the xmas episode here in Australia but, from the other things i've seen David Tennant in (casanova, goblet of fire, blackpool) it seems to me that he's going to make one hell of a doctor! I'm so looking forward to it starting here! The ABC would have to purchase it, Australia has one of the largest dr who fanbases - even if alot had some trouble with the new tardis etc.

I was really bummed with the Dalek episode where he was the last. It almost made me weepy.

I absolutely love Doctor Who. Old, new, other. Always have, always will. I still spend several hours a week watching my old videos, and I get together every month or so for a "Doctor Who Day" with my mates. I fork out for Doctor Who Magazine. I read the books. Brilliant.
I fucking hate Captain Jack though. I bet Russell T. Davies (also perpetrator of Queer as Folk, so I was happily surprised by just how good the new episodes were) creams himself just thinking about him, but I wasn't impressed.

New season has started on the BBC. 2nd episode aired tonight, I haven't downloaded yet, but the first episode is pretty good. David Tennant is rocking at being the Doctor.

I thought the werewolf episode was meh. But I'm excited by all the Torchwood stuff, and I love Billie Piper. I think she's fun and interesting and I like that fact she's portrayed as having a least a little bit of a brain.

And Anthony Head in the next episode! I can't wait.

That was the assistant guy, Captain Jack. All-round tit, and fantasy object for hordes of gay UK fans. Ick. Now spinning off into his own series, and possibly another dimension. When I read an interview with the actor who plays him and he mentioned a possible musical episode, I was truly saddened. But he's talking out of his arse and it won't happen, so all is well in munchkinland.
