Jennifer's Body is an upcoming dark comedy and horror film written by Diablo Cody. The film, described as similar in tone to Heathers,[1] will be directed by Karyn Kusama, and will star Megan Fox as the title character, Amanda Seyfried as her best friend Needy and Adam Brody as the antagonist Nikolai. The film follows Jennifer, a cheerleader possessed by a demon who begins feeding off the boys in a Minnesota farming town. It is then up to her "plain Jane" best friend Needy to kill Jennifer, escape from a correctional facility and go after lead singer Nikolai and his Satan-worshiping rock band responsible for the transformation. 
I admit, I really want to see this. I read the script review and I'm really excited on seeing it. I didn't read the spoilers, just the summary of it.

Jennifer's Body is one of my favourite Hole songs so the title alone sparks my interest.

These are just the beginnings.
After all, Live Through This is a 14 year-old record. Old bands always come back in style sooner or later. There were going to be new younger Hole fans sooner or later.
There are 2 things slowly coming back in style right now.
Early 90's dance music and grunge clothing.
Early 90's dance music is being played in a lot of hip-hop clubs now. Real McCoy, Crystal Waters, Ambers, LaBouche. And there's a song out there called 'Calibra' (sp) which sounds like an modern 90's song with the saxaphone and shit. Its on the new Target commercials.
Grunge clothing is coming back too. I've read it and heard it.
Grunge is bound to have a horrible re-invention. Give it 3 years and we will be all cutting our ears off to the new 'grunge-pop' movement with Riot Girls (yes I spelled it wrong for a reason) and brand new Kurt fans. Hole's bound to come into play.  |
