What is up with people never going to the movies anymore? It's a shame. |

| | | my friends and I couldn't track down weed until AFTER the movie (Which was probably a good thing because the high I had that night was the most fucked up marijuana-induced 5 or 6 hours of my life and I wouldn't have been able to handle watching a film in a crowded theatre during it)
but we laughed SO hard all the way through pineapple express!
and there were these two really stoned guys sitting right behind us who went "OHHHH!" and "OH SHIT!" every few seconds which was absolutely HILARIOUS, it didn't even get annoying. they were continuously amazed as the violence in the film reached new heights.
I'm a huuge seth rogen fan but I preferred james franco's character. probably because he reminded me SO much of myself, and I'm not even a regular stoner. |

| | | If this actually comes out near me I really want to go and see it. I've never seen any of Seth Rogen's films before (actually i've seen the 40 year olf virgin, but I'm not sure how much he had to do with that), but I find James Franco so unbelievably hot I can barely control myself. I will no doubt watch this alone, stoned and drooling.
Oh and I *love* going to the cinema to see a film, but agree not many people seem up for it anymore. I have a tradition with my best friend of going on Wednesdays (in England you can get two for one with an Orange mobile phone at the Odeon) and then for dinner after to discuss the film and just have a nice drink or two. Annoyingly, where I live, the Odeon only really releases big mainstream films, so we haven't been in a while (except for Mamma Mia!) |

Honestly, I thought the ads looked like shit and wasn't excited about the movie even though I've liked all of Seth Rogen's films (and Judd Apatow's work in general). But the movie was hilarious and really entertaining. It's not the typical stoner movie. Also, I was really impressed with James Franco's acting. I think he's douchy in real life, but I was surprised to see him play a stoner so well...he nailed it...and he and Seth's character had great chemistry!
I'd see it again... |

| | | It was funny. I loved the foot in the windscreen. But it was too fucking long and started to lag near the end. And then it got all confusing and the whole atmosphere of the movie changed from funny stoner movie to tryhard action movie. But it was quite good all the same. A few good laughs. | |
