So its finally gonna happen... Though its not known if Neve, David, Courteney or Wes are on board... but apparently Jamie Kennedy is as Randy... Crazyness.
I really liked the Scream movies but im very worried about another movie... It could destroy a good horror trilogy... but then again who knows? any thoughts

Really? I thought "Scream 3" sucked.

"Scream" was good because it went outside of the horror movie formula. No one was expecting Drew Barrymore to die in the first 10 minutes, no one was expecting there to be 2 killers OR the fact that Billy was the killer when it already looked obvious he might have been and then it was realized he wasn't...until it was discovered he was. or whatever.

The second one was good but it just repeated.

And then the third one just did a half-ass repeat of the formula.

I hope they don't follow the formula and re-invent horror movies like they did with the first one. If not, expect to see 2 big names die in the beginning and there to be two killers (even though they switched that up for Scream 3 with 1 big whoop).

I think Scream 3 would've been brilliant if Kevin Williamson had have written it... If he was to write the new one then maybe i'd feel a bit better about it...

Why can't Hollywood just a leave a good thing alone? This has straight to DVD written all over it.

Three should be the maximum number of films allowed for any one franchise. After that they should be forced to either come up with a new idea or shoot themselves.

i'm actually happy about this but i'm happy about a lot of things.
the first two scream movies were fuckin amazing. the chase sequences in scream 2 were like ballet or something. i love the one in the projection room with david and courteney. so fuckin scary.
scream 3 was only good for courteney and parker posey.
i shall watch these three movies again.

the original scream is wonderful. at the time there was nothing else like it. it was great. kind of like ck1 or ckbe. they were just so original..now they've been copied so much that it's tired and old.

Scream and Saw are the only horror series that make sense to make other ones because the killers aren't set on fire and decapitated and then end up returning for the next one. And the plots don't get so extreme to the point where the killer ends up in space. No wonder why they're remaking Friday the 13th, what the hell were they going to do after Jason X? Jason Goes To Pluto? LOL how about Jason Vs. Pluto Nash?

Anyways, Scream 3 was stupid and I know it was supposed to end the series but I thought it was dumb how they made it all come full circle and tied in the serial killer to the first one. And it was ridiculous with the voice box and all that crap. Parker Posey was the only thing that made that movie worth watching and I was pissed when she died. And Courtney Cox's freaky bangs. That was the worst haircut I'd ever seen..that is until I saw Courtney on the cover of 'Blender'. Its like the same haircut in blonde.

I wish Parker Posey had lived though. Maybe they could pull a Dewey and she could come back crippled.

If Neve, Courtney, and Dave turn the movie down, its going to go straight to DVD. But their careers have gone nowhere. Where the hell is Neve Campbell and Courtney and Dave's shows are all flopping.

I bet the only one who will turn it down is Patrick Dempsey.

I think the fourth one should be a prequel so I (playing myself) can take nine inches of Cotton Weary up the ass. And we'll do it method, so I can react to the actual thwacking of his cum-burdened balls on my sweet, sweet taint.

I think Scream 3 was hilarious... Parker Posey defo stole the show! It just felt rushed... which was a shame

So I've been reading all the news about the movie.

Jamie Kennedy wants to do it.

David Arquette said he wants to do it.

Neve Campbell said she wants to do it - or she was asked to do it and talked about it with Wes Craven. I think she wouldn't do it without him which leads to...

Wes Craven said he'd do it.

The only person who hasn't mentioned it is Courtney but I'm sure if David wants to do it, she'll want to do it.

I think Scream 4 looks good to all of them right now. None of their careers have gone anywhere.

Isn't that the truth!

Plus, Jamie Kennedy's character died in Scream 2 didn't he? How could he return?

Randy back as a ghost... or it was his twin who died??

It's a Scream film, so it'll all about over-extended horror franchises. "Ok, it's the fourth film, so here's the rules...the writers never even expected the franchise to go this far, they'll probably revive & spin out a couple of minor characters from the previous stories and fit them out with some unconvincing ties to the new murders. Lots of people will get stabbed and die and no-one will care because none of them are big name actors anymore. The ending will make no sense but be open-ended enough that they can get yet another sequel out of this".

...then it'll go on to play out all those cliches and bore you to tears, but that's ok because it's a Scream film and it's knowing and you're clever just for watching it and getting all the references eh right?

without a doubt, Scream.

on a different note, the trailer for the Friday the 13th remake looks awesome. i have to admit I like the Halloween, TCM, and Amityville remakes. I am not one that bitches about remakes. as long as they are good.

I do agree wtih ya on the Halloween remake... Zombie did a grand job. Tho i am worried about the Nightmare on Elm Street remake... i will cry out of my eyes if its shit. The Scream series is way better than Saw... im not a major fan of torture porn
