Anyone see this?

I thought it was pretty good for such a quirky movie. Not sure if I got all the New Zeland humour?, but I did enjoy. I liked the tracksuit sister most.

I haven't seen any of The Flight of the Conchords yet...but he seems interesting.

I haven't seen Eagle Vs Shark, but I'd highly recommend Flight of the Conchords to absolutely everyone. Every episode is a masterpiece.

anyway it's nice that there's something that everyone else likes about nz for once.

my favourite bits are when they have sex in costumes, and when jemaines character thinks there is something smelly and says it might be a hedgehog. but it sounds like 'hidgehog'.... after watching i always feel the need to speak like somebody from new zealand...

I didn't really care for Eagle vs. Shark but I do enjoy the Conchords. I would disagree that every episode is a masterpiece, though. It is one of the very few TV shows I really like.

And as for liking New Zealand...that countryside is TO DIE FOR. I'm jealous

Funding for a show was turned down in favour of that shit thing about backpackers, apparently. WIN.

I liked the film...had a Napoleon Dynamite feel. Love the show, and Jemaine looks way hotter in it.

This movie was more than a little derivitive of Napolean Dynamite and countless other "quirky" movies about quirky outcasts and quirky families. Little Miss Sunshine also comes to mind. The characters were borderline retarded, this movie was unoriginal and a waste of time.

Oh this movie is out already? And has been for a while, apparently. I really don't pay attention to most things do I. So it's good is it? Or maybe it's just alright. I'll go look for it either way and find out for myself. I don't need it to be as good as FotC. I just need to see more Jemaine.

I watched it the other day with my fella. Now he always asks if I want to lie down on the bed. Hehe.

LOVED Eagle vs Shark. The little stop-motion bits were fantastic and the movie was just...lovely. I don't really get the comparisons to Napoleon Dynamite, I can't stand that film, or Little Miss Sunshine, which is a road trip/slice of life quirky drama, whereas EvS is more just a deadpan comedy.

I liked this movie, he was just like a really evil Napoleon Dynamite but still, it had it's moments. I'm in favour of more New Zealand based comedy over here if Flight of The Conchords is anything to go by, the accents alone...
