| | | I do not what that albino seymour hoffman whale anywhere near ma man.
And I don't want Johny Depp anywhere near either.
See, that's the problem with the other batman movies, they cast stars in the roles of the villains, people who didn't take the characters seriously, who were there ONLY to show off and frankly did a terrible job. Tommy Lee Jones anyone??
This new Batman films don't need any stars like Johnny Depp in it, they need unknown actors who are going to take the characters to new levels and who aren't there to show off but to do a job, wich is to FUCKING ACT. And that is what they did on Batman begins and the dark knight, so fuck these rumors.
I'm going to make the exception and say that Michelle Pfeiffer was fabulous obviously but she also didn't really have much respect for the film/character. |

| That wasn't Tommy Lee Jones fault. There was a lot of dumb shit in the Batman Forever script. Aaron Eckhart wouldn't have done any better with the same material. In fact, I'm sure he would have done worse, as Tommy Lee Jones is a better actor. Eckhart had the benefit of better material.
Casting stars like Johnny Depp and Hoffman who can actually act and have turned in interesting performances won't be a problem unless the script is total shit.
Also, Liam Neeson and Heath Ledger were far from nobodies at the time filming began on their respective Batman movies. |

It wasn't a "ooohhhh let's see jack nicholson in batman" or "ohhh let's see danny devito" thing.
And if people went to see heath was because he died but people weren't going to see heath, they were going to see the joker and that's what they got, not a middle aged pansy fruit cake like jack nicholson. |

| | | Totally random, but I just came across this bit of info regarding the DVD release: "The Dark Knight will be released on DVD in the US on December 9, 2008. There will be three versions of the film released on DVD: A Blu-Ray single-disc, a single-disc DVD, and a two-disc special edition DVD." |

And everybody knows this. He had people laughing and being frightened all at the same time. Maybe you should re-watch the 1989 version of Batman.
My favorite part-

| | | Michael Keaton was not sexy enough. I saw Batman two weeks ago on cable and it was all kinds or wrong.
Everything was wrong. Keaton, Bassinger, the ridiculously fake set, the faggotry of the joker, it was all a fuckery. |

| | | wrong again, keaton was the hottest of all the batman actors. he definitely had the best batman eyes and mouth, which is all we see when he's wearing the mask. the rest of them just look like guys in masks, whereas you actually notice keaton's eyes and get the impression there's something going on in his head.
granted, without the benefit of his sculpted batsuit, his bruce wayne physique was lacking.
bale is the best bruce wayne, but michael keaton was the only actor who had any charisma as batman.
the sets were good, and calling them fake looking is kind of dumb since they weren't going for realism. basinger was a cunt though. |

| | | I know they weren't going for realism but that doesn't mean they had to look fake, wich they did.
And yes, Keaton had like iconic lips and eyes as batman, and they tried to re create that with Val Kilmer when he was gone but still:
Christian's Bat>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>any other bat. |

He could still speak in an altered voice without growling at people and it'd make Bale's Batman seem to have a bit more humanity.
And I think the absolute worst thing about Batman '89 was the decision to cast that Arliss guy as Alexander Knox. I can't even think of his name but I hate him. |

Batman does that voice so that he doesn't feel human, so that he looks more like a beast or a creature. That's the logic behind the voice.
Btw, can you picture batman having phone sex? lol. |

Btw, can you picture batman having phone sex? lol. | Dude, one look at his motherfucking JAWLINE and I think most of Gotham's seedy criminal underbelly should be able to tell that he's a fucking human. I don't think the growling that Bale does is absolutely crucial, not that I'm saying it completely ruins his new films for me, but you know, one thing I dig about the animated series interpretation vs. Nolan's is Batman as detective, and don't get me wrong, The Dark Knight had a fair bit of that as well, but what I mean to say is that Batman can be portrayed as intimidating and larger than life without needing to growl at people.
When I read "Year One", particularly that scene where he crashes that dinner that Commissioner Loeb and his crooked buddies are having, and he says something about, "Tonight, you dine on the flesh of Gotham" or whatever, I have never pictured him growling that. If anything, it comes off more ominous and spooky if it's subtle, like a hushed whisper, like he himself is a fucking shadow. |

Your feast is nearly over. From this moment on, none of you are safe."
And your post is all kinds of wrong I don't even know were to begin. Talking about Batman Year One, I remember that one of the cops that encountered Batman, the crooked one, said he wasn't human, that he had claws, wings and all that jazz.
OBVIOUSLY Batman is human and people know it but in the dark you get a flying man dressed like that coming at you to kick your ass, BELIEVE ME he is going to look more monster than man, and that is why he talks like that.
Also he talks like that to conceal his identity, his voice. Kevin Conroy also made TWO different voices and that is exactly what my man Christian and all the other batmans have done, bale's is just more different.
Batman Year One is epic by the way.
And I just remembered George Clooney. WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT FUCKERY??!! |
