Scots rocker Shirley Manson joins cast of Terminator TV series

SCOTS rock star Shirley Manson is make her first big move into acting after being cast in the Terminator spin-off tv series.

The Edinburgh-born former Garbage frontwoman will join the cast of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles as technology company boss Catherine Weaver.

Manson, 41, started out her musical career as keyboard player and backing vocalist with cult Edinburgh band Goodbye Mr Mackenzie before being invited to join US rockers Garbage.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed today she would be joining the second series of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles in a regular role, alongside stars Lena Headey, Thomas Dekker and Summer Glau.

The violent TV spin-off from the Terminator films proved a surprise hit in the US, where it's first series was the highest rated new show last year.

In the UK, it is shown by digital channel Virgin 1.

I am nearly positive that show was cancelled.

Bionic Woman was canceled. I thought Terminator was canceled too, but I guess I got the two shows mixed up.
