why isn't there any decent tv on right now (in the US, i mean)?
scrubs is over
seasons ended for 30 rock, the office, and top chef is nearly finished.
is there anything redeeming on tv?
when do good shows come back, like Dexter and Weeds (or do they, on account of the writer's strike an all?)?
what are you watching, and if it's good, how can i jump on that bandwagon?
because the other night my primetime tv options were American Gladiators (really, this is back on), Dr. Phil, and Oprah Prime Time special, a Dateline episode on the only thing Dateline seems to report on anymore; child "predators", Hell's Kichen (which seems to just be yelling in a kitchen), and shitty new Price Is Right Primetime Spectacular which would have been magical with Bob Barker, but now is hosted by Drew Carey and that is a waste of my time.

There are three shows I really enjoy watching at the moment, and they are:
Jon & Kate Plus Eight - Why? I dunno, I don't even like kids?
Kenny vs. Spenny - I laugh very hard
Gossip Girl - A show I thought would be crap, but I ended up getting into. Lets call it a guilty pleasure haha. I think last Monday was the session finale though...
Other than those, I enjoy random documentaries, movies, biographies, and other things that I come across.

i'm gonna go buy it later today, and then problem solved. i'm stuck inside all day/night (well there was no 'day' today because there is an huge huge wildfire burning in my city and it makes the sky so dark it blocks out 85% of the sun) and it's cold, and windy. and air quailty has been terrible.

which suprises me, because that show doesn't do badly in ratings (not great, but not badly) and its reruns are syndicated on two networks (WB and Comedy Central).
but my best friend spent the last year as a production assitant on the show, and apparently it's VERY expensive to film, as the set and studios for the show is a real hospital. apparently, they've been renting an abandoned hospital for years and turned some floors into sets, others into production offices, casting, editing, trailers, etc. and that the show has a big staff and expensive writers, and expensive actors who were cast cheaply, but have gotten rather popular during the show's run and now are more expensive to keep on (ie: zach braff, donald faison, the janitor guy, and to some extent sarah chalke). and there's drama about braff getting increasingly involved in directing/producing the show while he's also doing his own side projects, etc.

| | I briefly considered watching new TV again when The Return of Jezebel James came on. But it got canceled and I hate Fox again. Now it's just Criminal Minds, House, and Law & Order: SVU. Whatever I want to watch is usually online (still trying to torrent Picket Fences).
I'm so desperate I've started watching Charmed.
