| | | the gits movie i remember seeing a trailer for this a few years ago..
and the movie is finallyy coming out, now: MySpace.com - The Gits Movie - Los Angeles, CA - www.myspace.com/thegitsmovie
they found the guy who killed mia zapata after they started making the movie.. so it's definitely gonna be interesting seeing how they manage to segway (cant spell) that into the movie.
ya thoughts?

| | | i would like to see it, but it's so tragic.
i saw Evil Stig with Joan Jett singing, so i'm very interested. The Gits went on tour under that name, after Mia died, and had different singers.it was to raise money to solve the case. |

| | | I remember hearing about this movie ages ago...good to hear it's getting a release. Makes me want to pull out "Frenching the Bully", that was a really good album. |

| | | I only have Kings and Queens but i love it! Fucking amazing band. I was in Seattle when the murderer got sent down...it was a huge deal locally but it wasn't reported much elsewhere i don't think..? I would love to see this movie but being in the UK i'm not sure what my chances are *goes to check out Myspace page* |

| | has anyone here seen it yet?
i dont wanna give anything away but it was so fucking good
the first half hour was hysterical, and then the rest of it was just so sad..
it came out great.
and it gave a lot of depth to mia.. until seeing the movie all i knew was she had a beautiful voice and looked like she could beat my ass into the ground if she'd wanted to. but for all the interviews she never got to do, and all the publicity the band never got, it just kinda shed a new light on her, and the band as a whole.

| | | Did they ever really catch the guy??? This was so tragic. I remember vididly when it happened and worked a few doors up (there is a mermaid embedded in building where I worked or at least there was so gave me hee bee jee bees to walk when I got off late shift. Yeah upper Pike Street (or is it PIne) was so seedy, score hard stuff anywhere, gay bathhouse street at one time with three and then another one on the side street. Ive been to Seattle alot over the past ten years and love the changes but dont go to Capitol Hill in Seattle or Broadway but just once, it just brings back too many memories of an era long gone. |
