ok I know this is utterly ****ty but does anyone else watch this? It's one of those random E4 shows that always seems to be on and just draws you in.

The whole thing is so laboured, clearly trying to push certain "issues" in each episode. And why are all the characters stuck in the early 90s? It looks like a Christian My So Called Life.

It's not especially Christian. I think it's kind of obvious with some of her conversations with God. It's not like, "Joan, you must save that single mother from her life of sin and disgrace because that's what Jesus would do." It's more like, "Start coming on to that psychotic sop****re so he doesn't pull a Columbine on your *** tomorrow."

I love the show. Should never have been canceled. There was nothing wrong with it that isn't worse with a hundred other shows still running.

Yeah, it was actually a really good show.

Plus the dorky younger brother was hot.

I've only heard about this show, but yesterday I was watching a Family Guy re-run and it was mentioned.

The family sits down to watch Joan of Arcadia, but it's interrupted by a news bulletin. And the announcer says "we apologize to Joan of Arcadia's sanctimonious, fear-based and most likely overweight viewers."

Not to judge or anything. I'm sure a lot of Family Guy viewers are lard asses too.

I used to watch this. I actually really liked it. Amber Tamblyn is a good actress.
